For over ten years I've volunteer teaching on the water seminars for Trout Unlimited in the NY area. Since 2007 I've have taught over 400 women to learn how to fly fish. Always trying to encourage other women to become more engaged in fly fishing. I'm an active Trout Unlimited member of the Seth Green Chapter (073) here in NY. I've had the honor to guide both male & female Vets as part of the Project Healing Waters rehabilitation program Fort Drum/Syracuse Chapter. I volunteer as the fly fishing program coordinator since 2013 for a non-profit organization, CompeerCORPS program that provides instruction, equipment & support to disabled military veterans in a variety of sports activities. I support programs that preserve the history of Fly Fishing; and previously served as a Trustee at the Catskills Fly Fishing Center and Museum, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains of New York State. Since 2015, I've volunteered as a fly fishing instructor for the Upstate NY Casting for Recovery program which helps women recovering from Breast Cancer learn to fly fish.

Today I currently serve as a volunteer as the VP of Youth Education on the New York State Council of Trout Unlimited helping with TU Trout Camp, running Stream Girls program for the Girls scouts & other youth education events in New York State.

I learned about fishing from my grandfather as a little girl on Honeoye Lake, NY. I spent most of my younger years spin fishing for pan fish in the New York Finger Lakes Area. Once I took up fly fishing, there’s been no looking back, to the point that today, I am a New York State Licensed fly fishing guide. In my spare time you will find me fly fishing with both single & two handed rods or tying flies. My favorite fishing is for local Steelhead and Brown trout on my upstate N.Y. home waters, but you can also find me wading the inland and mountain streams of NY and Pennsylvania.  My skills and passion also include salt water fishing. My husband Dave and I have been fortunate to enjoy fly fishing from the East Coast states to Alaska, Seychelles, Belize and Mexico.
